FAQ

We're trying to update our Frequently Asked Questions regularly but if you didn't find your answer please contact us .

Yes. We work with contractors who have experience installing our cellars and we trust them. You may also use a contractor of your choice.

That is perfectly fine but consultation with us is required to explain the installation process, provide technical documentation and answer any technical questions.

Yes. A consultation is required and we strongly recommend you to attend it so you have a clear understanding of the full process, to ensure the chosen cellar type is suitable and that installation requirements are clearly understood.

Detailed technical specifications are provided with every order.

Yes. Delivery anywhere in Ireland and placement into a prepared hole are included, subject to site access. Delivery arrangements depend on cellar size, site access, and location.

Clear access for a heavy delivery vehicle is required. Exact access requirements depend on the cellar size and will be discussed in advance.

We remain available throughout the process to answer questions and provide clarification if needed.

We aim to attend the initial consultation in person whenever possible, as this is often the most effective way to assess the project and answer questions. However, this is not always possible due to distance or scheduling. In such cases, consultations are provided by phone or video call. Ongoing consultations and support are available remotely as needed throughout the process.

If the cellar is not in stock, production typically takes 4 weeks. Delivery timing is confirmed individually once production is scheduled, but usually 3-4 weeks.

Yes. We keep customers informed about production and delivery timing as the process progresses.

In Winter, the temperature that is maintained here is between 3 and 5℃. In summer, the temperature is around 12-20℃.

A humidity level of 65%-85% is considered normal, and it will never be lower. This is due to physics. When warm air from outside enters the cellar and cools down, the moisture it contains condenses, and the humidity level rises sharply. This cannot be changed without using dehumidifying equipment. Gravity ventilation works properly only when there is a difference in height between the air inlet and outlet pipes, and when there is a temperature difference between the outside and inside of the cellar.

A concrete slab is always required for cellars with vertical entrance of 1.5 x 1.5 m and 2.0 x 2.0 m. For cellars with a diagonal entrance of 2.0 x 1.75 m and Diameter-2.5 m, a concrete slab is only needed when the groundwater level can rise above the bottom of the installed cellar (1.6 m – 1.7 m from the ground surface). If there is no groundwater at this depth, a 25 cm layer of B25 dry concrete reinforced with mesh reinforcement is sufficient.

The cellar is equipped with an exhaust ventilation which maintains the appropriate microclimate inside the cellar. If there is a strong temperature difference in the area of the entrance and ventilation pipes, condensation may periodically appear, but it quickly disappears due to ventilation. Because the walls are plastic, they do not absorb moisture and do not cause mould growth.

In case of a small land plot, a cellar with a vertical entrance of 1.5 x 1.5 m or 2 x 2 m is the best choice. Installation requires a pit with dimensions of 1.9 x 1.9 m and 2.4 x 2.4 m, respectively. Such cellars may be installed under the terrace, garden house or under the garage floor. For large land plots, we recommend cellars with a sloping entrance. If the groundwater is shallow, a cellar with a sloping entrance will also be the best solution.

No, the cellar will never rise to the surface if it is installed on a concrete slab. If the groundwater level is high, the cellar shall be attached to a concrete slab that will hold it in the ground.

Yes, the basement is equipped with LED lighting as standard for all diagonal and vertical cellars. Small cellars are not equipped with LED lighting.

Yes, each cellar is fully equipped, has a steel frame and 4 rows of shelves, exhaust ventilation, LED lamp and weather station for measuring temperature and humidity. Usually, installation of a cellar takes one day.

The contractor appointed by the customer is fully responsible for excavation, installation, and compliance with local building and safety requirements.

If installation procedures or technical guidelines are not followed, the Seller is not responsible for resulting damage or defects.

If direct placement into the excavation is not possible, the cellar will be offloaded at the nearest suitable location. Any further movement on site is the responsibility and cost of the customer.

Delivery is coordinated in advance and we allow up to 2 weeks to arrange delivery to your site. If delivery is delayed by the customer beyond an agreed timeframe, additional storage or handling costs may apply.
